One of those roads you just have to drive and take in the stunning scenery, we kept to the old road and loved the hairpins and viewpoints you can stop at to look at where you've driven. Full review by 374vickif

I took the tunnel once, I wanted to know: I will be driving from Switzerland to Italy and back the same way. Do you have to stop for customs, either way, or just drive through?
A:
We did not take the tunnel; we went over the pass so I can't speak to the tunnel. We did not have to stop at any customs office and simply drove from Switzerland to Italy.
