It’s been a topsy turvy year for Dead by Daylight maker Behaviour Interactive, which has released two spin-offs, laid off dozens of workers and shut down a studio that was working on another offshoot of its tentpole project.

Behaviour Interactive has acquired Red Hook Studios for an undisclosed sum. Vancouver, Canada-based Red Hook is the developer of 2016’s gothic roguelike RPG Darkest Dungeon and its sequel Darkest Dungeon 2, which hit PC last year and consoles this summer.

Behaviour Interactive is buying Darkest Dungeon developer Red Hook Studios. Sharing the news today, Behavious - known for its work on multiplayer survival game Dead by Daylight - said Red Hook will remain a "fully independent studio under the Behaviour banner" and was "ecstatic" about the acquisition.
