Israel’s military claimed it killed Ibrahim Aqil, a senior Hezbollah commander, and “about 10” others in a dramatic airstrike that has raised fears of all-out war.

A key Hezbollah commander and his chain of command were killed in an Israeli strike in Beirut on Friday, according to the Israel Defense Forces, as tensions continue to rise along the Israel-Lebanon border.

Hizbollah’s special operations commander Ibrahim Aqil was killed along with the “senior chain of command of the Radwan Force”, an elite unit within the group, the Israel Defense Forces said.
