A new, free PlayStation Plus game has completely divided subscribers and called into question its 84 on Metacritic, a very solid score but perhaps better than it deserves according to the opinion of some at least.

As spotted by Eurogamer, PlayStation’s ‘Last Chance to Play’ tab reveals LittleBigPlanet 3 leaves PS Plus soon alongside nine other games. The Sumo Digital-developed puzzle platformer launched on PS3 and PS4 in November 2014, and, as a PlayStation Studios title, is wholly owned by Sony Interactive Entertainment.

A free PS5 multiplayer weekend was announced back when Sony revealed its PlayStation 30th Anniversary plans earlier this month. This is meant to celebrate the console’s online games and communities throughout the years.

To this end, anyone who spent countless hours grinding Capcom's Ultra Street Fighter 4 or losing track of time while playing Media Molecule's LittleBigPlanet will be unhappy to hear the games are leaving the libraries of PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium sometime in October, likely October 15 specifically.

In June 2022 in North America, Sony launched a revamped version of PlayStation Plus that combines the previous model with PS Now. Split into three tiers, subscribers who invest in PS Plus Extra or Premium gain access to a wide selection of PlayStation games.
