More than 47 million pirated copies of games including and Mario Bros. and Street Fighter II were seized in raids across Italy.

Italian tax police said on Friday they have seized counterfeit Chinese copies of vintage game consoles and video games from the 1980s and 1990s worth almost 50 million euros ($55.5 million).

Italian police seized millions in counterfeit gaming goods — 12,000 consoles worth more than $52.8 million, they said.
