EAST LANSING, MI – A Michigan community is mourning the death of a police dog who was responsible for the most captures in the history of the East Lansing Police Department.

Police in Liberty Borough are warning neighbors about a loose dog that has reportedly killed two family pets. The dog, shown in the photo above, was last seen at 2:27 a.m. Friday in the 300 block of Latrobe Street. The dog has not shown aggression toward people, but police say there is a concern.

An East Texas man, who admitted to assaulting his neighbors dog with a baseball bat, was arrested Tuesday night, the Tatum Police Department said. According to the Panola County Sheriff’s Office, a Hendricks Lake resident reported on Tuesday that a neighbor went into her yard and assaulted her dog.

A dispute that started over loud music resulted in one person being shot and a dog being killed by its owner. According to Fox 2 Detroit, the incident began when a man in his 60s became upset with the music being played by a neighbor across the street.
