Shivdeep Wamanrao Lande, a 2006 batch IPS officer, announced his resignation in a post on Facebook on Thursday

PATNA: Bihar cadre IPS officer Shivdeep Wamanrao Lande resigned from service on Thursday. The 2006-batch IPS officer had been posted as Inspector General (IG), Purnea range. He was transferred from Tirhut range (Muzaffarpur) to Purnea range recently.

Senior IPS officer Shivdeep Wamanrao Lande has resigned from service, becoming the second officer to do so in the last two months. Lande, an officer of the 2006 Bihar cadre, was serving as the Inspector General of the Purnea range.

Shivdeep Lande was the Additional Commissioner of Police (Addl CP) in Maharashtra ATS (Anti-Terrorism Squad). Lande is an electrical engineer by qualification and later went on to join the IPS. On February 25, 2021, an explosives-laden SUV was found near industrialist Mukesh Ambani’s residence ‘Antilia’ in south Mumbai.
