When NASA astronauts Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore blasted off from Cape Canaveral, Florida, back in June aboard the debut crewed flight of the Boeing Starliner spaceship, there was no reason to believe they’d be out of pocket for the November election.

Their stay at the International Space Station was supposed to last for eight days, but will instead last around eight months.

American astronauts from NASA will be on the International Space Station (ISS) on November 5, Election Day, and will cast their votes via mail-in ballots, CNN reported. They will float 320 kilometres above the nearest polling station that day.
